Caboose's reply still applies to your Moto w376g phone.
To give you some perspective, I bought a top-of-the-range Android phone in 2010. Somebody ported Ubuntu Touch to it last year and it runs dreadfully. Much worse than the preinstalled Android. It's only good for a demonstration of "look what I can do!". It probably doesn't even work with the later versions of Ubuntu Touch.
You need a lot of grunt and a big touchscreen to run Ubuntu Touch. You couldn't run it on a $79 smartphone from today, much less a basic feature-phone from 2008. Sorry.
I try to treat the cause, not the symptom. I avoid the terminal in instructions, unless it's easier or necessary. My instructions will work within the Ubuntu system, instead of breaking or subverting it. Those are the three guarantees to the helpee.
