I was, and I can say I stopped going in there. I had a look at reports, and sometimes stepped in but that was just about it.

Curiosity got the best of me, had to see what The Backyard was all about. Found this description:

There is a substantive difference between a reasoned, objective criticism and a deliberately inciting stab or a flame based on incorrect information. The first is welcome, the latter two are not. Those who feel they have been unfairly infracted for criticism of Unity should consider that.
"Unity's shopping lens causes me security concerns and I also don't like the results being cluttered. I think it is a terrible idea and should be removed." is acceptable and will stay.
"Unity is spyware." is trolling and will be removed.
"Stallman says Unity is spyware." is an attributed opinion and, depending on if it is used in a reasonable post or a trolling post, it will either stay or be removed.
