Sorry to disappoint, fontis... but, I haven't switched from Unity.
I've always used Gnome-Shell as a Unity dev tool ( Gnome3 + Compiz = Unity ).
Truth is, I broke Compiz last night and used GS to fix it -- that's all...
Thought I would take a couple of snappies, while I was logged in.
Here is Unity in the same Halloween config...
BTW - I like them equally, e.g. I'm a fan of both...

I've been using it since the first betas many months ago. It's the brainchild of Ikey Dougherty who was a developer at Linux Mint Debian Edition. He is very active at the SolusOS forums and via his Google+ page. Often asking opinions of the community, Ikey is the most accessible Linux dev I can recall. And SolusOS 2 is taking a completely new approach in that he will be no longer create a Debian based distro, but going independent instead. Great stuff on the horizon for SolusOS.
