I guess messing with screensavers would be moot for you as well. The bug is about Flashback when installed has a dependency of gnome-screensaver.
So as in previous Ubuntu versions many places recommend as one of the first things you do is to purge gnome-screensaver,
which is not actually a screensaver and is no longer maintained and install Xscreensaver, which is a nice screensaver with many options and is being maintained.
The ability to use Flashback and have a working screensaver was taken away with Saucy and has been carried on into Trusty.
So, when I seen that it is going to be fixed I was thrilled.
My bad. Ventrical used Lunity one time referring to Unity and it just stuck. I kind of like that term.
BTW, for all of you who do not use Cairo Dock, how do you get the notification when a system restart is required after a software update?
My logout icon in Cairo Dock puts out a message that a system restart is required.
Usually it's after I see update-initramfs but not always. Sometimes a restart is required and sometimes it is not. So, I rely on Cairo Dock to tell me.
