need help with my Inspiron 3520 Wireless card.

Hi there, I installed U.Studio 13.04 today and it show my proprietery driver is in use but still not read wireless networks, but does read a wired connection.

    http://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/...psec8cd2ad.png

i have tried numberous task from different website i found like

    Code:
    sudo apt-get remove bcmwl-kernel-source
    sudo apt-get install bcmwl-kernel-source
    and even did

    Code:
Please verify your pci.id with a terminal command:

lspci -nn Is it 14e4:4365? I am not sure it is even possible in a 32-bit system. If you have a 64-bit system and the device I mentioned, then I suggest this package: http://jas.gemnetworks.com/debian/po...19-1_amd64.deb
      First install the prerequisites:

sudo apt-get install linux-headers-generic build-essential dkms Then install the package with:

cd Desktop <--or wherever you downloaded the deb
        sudo dpkg -i wire*.deb
        sudo modprobe wl
    the
    Code:
    sudo modprobe wl
    gives me this

    Code:
    FATAL: Module wl not found.
    and my lspci -nn

    Code:
    komrad@krash-LT:~$ lspci -vvnn | grep 14e4
    07:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Corporation BCM43142 802.11b/g/n [14e4:4365] (rev 01)

    Please try:
    Code:
    sudo apt-get remove --purge bcmwl-kernel-source
    sudo apt-get install linux-headers-generic
    sudo apt-get install bcmwl-kernel-source
    sudo modprobe wl
    Any improvement?

Unclaimed, in this context, means no driver claims it. wl can't claim it because it won't yet build correctly:

ok, so i went ahead and installed backbox. Everything went so smooth went to install all the steps above and the only thing that was the same was the "sudo modprobe wl" i checked my additional drivers and here is what it shows?

    ****EDIT***
Ok so i found this post that you were in Chili555. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2052124

I followed the steps deleted all the "linux-backports-modules-cw"

Hi, please use thumbnails or url's for images because many people have a slow connection and large images make it very hard for them to load the page.
    Thanks
