Today's daily build amd64 will not install. 26 January.

Ubiquity fails with a message about "cannot install to a partition outside of the disk".

Excuse me? I just installed today's amd64 image to an old Thinkpad T500, without any problems whatsoever.

kuvanito, none of the problems you are having can be attributed to loading the 64 bit version. At least that is what I believe.
I have noticed that some things take a little time before they work in this dev. branch though.

I finished installing the Jan 25th iso and after adding the regular gnome classic, the options when logging in are:
1) Cairo Dock (Gnome)
2) Gnome
3) Gnome Fallback
4) Gnome Fallback (no effects)
5) Ubuntu (Default)

Kind of strange compared to what I used to see.

I can tell you with certainty that if you have any kind of usb drive connected or anything else usb like an ipod it will not install.

Yesterday was my 3rd install and all three were the same.

Well I guess a unicorn must have come riding in on a rainbow and installed my notebook using magic pixie dust.

But I could have sworn that I installed it from a USB stick.

Try installing from a DVD with that USB stick connected and see what you get.
