Smile How do you cut and paste into a command line shell?

The only way I know to cut n paste into a shell command line is though my mouse.
It would sure be nice it this were doable using keyboard shortcuts such as
(Ctrl + c , Ctrl + v) or (Shift + Delete, Shift + Insert) and selecting text using arrow keys.
Is there any way to set this up?
Thanks and always real glad to have this forum - Randy
