You run the pcsx2 file in the bin directory, E.g. "./pcsx2" from terminal or something similar to do it in a launcher. It should already be executable, but if it's not do "chmod +x pcsx2" on it.

Hmm, not sure why you would end up with a folder hierarchy like that, but this is what my ~/pcsx2/bin looks like:

Oh, I compiled it. _Surprisingly_, it got that far without segfaulting.

Easiest way to install it is to grab this RPM (32-bit) and then do the following in whatever directory you downloaded it into:
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install alien
    alien Cg-1.5_Feb2007.i386.rpm
    sudo dpkg -i Cg-1.5_Feb2007.i386.deb
Then start your sh build.sh all again.
sorry to have to ask, but i'm a noob and have gotten as far as i have by copy/pasting code fields (thanks a lot for the instructions so far)

i tried the above and it aborts after i confirm it can continue. i assume its because i have x64 feisty fawn and not i386. i tried editing the above to:

    sudo apt-get install alien
    alien Cg-1.5_Feb2007.x86_64.rpm
    sudo dpkg -i Cg-1.5_Feb2007.x86_64.deb

unfortunately no cigar for blind guessing. can anyone get me rolling again? or at least tell me where i'm going wrong? i'm not averse to trying or guessing but i could use some help

    cheers

    http://developer.download.nvidia.com..._x86_64.tar.gz

That is the one you will need. Or you could force the i386 one. Unfortunatly I am still learning and dont know the commands to do things like this.

i downloaded that in the meantime and tried a couple of guesses to .deb it with alien but couldn't get it working, i don't know the command syntax. cheers for repying tho.
