Hi everyone,
I installed Ubuntu 10.04.1 hoping that the issue I experienced in 10.04 would be resolved but unfortunately it hasn't.
When I boot my notebook I choose Ubuntu then the screen goes black with a blinking cursor in the top left for about 10-15 seconds. After that a message flashes which says something along the lines of
And then boots into Ubuntu and as far as I can tell everything works perfectly from there. Ordinarily I wouldn't complain but because it delays the boot time so significantly I'd really like to do anything in my power to fix it.Code:mmc0: Unknown controller version (2). You may experience problems
I found several other threads from people who experience the exact same issue as me but noone seems to have a fix. A few people claimed after reinstalling the issue went away but that didn't work for me. Apparently this is an issue with my media card reader ..
