with riva tuner i could enable sideband addressing and fast page i/o's
as well as allocate over 600mbs of ram for directx and opengl seprately..

I was wondering if there was anyway to do the same in ubuntu 8.04 or any version...

possibly somehow tell the drivers to use a swap file or partition? with a high priority?
