John, it looks like your most recent kernel patch will enable the chipset, and it will connect to a unsecured network when using the buffalo wli-uc-gn card. But it will not connect to a WPA enabled router, it will just time out and try again when you use the network management application. I've downloaded the most current kernel image that you've provided with the built in support. Any ideas why it would do that. Also in your latest patch to the kernel the annoying "#" mark every 5 sec is still there. It's also there for the lucid release of the patch, so it's now upstream.
