    Keyboard layout freezes in installer

Hi everybody. I'm trying to install kubuntu 9.10 on a Dell desktop. (I am converting a friend)
I am currently in the installer, and have gotten all the way to Keyboard Layout. When I click forward nothing happens, and I can't get to the next step. Please help, I really want to install kubuntu on that computer!

Try checking the CD. When you first boot off it you should have an option to "Verify CD" "Check CD" or words to that effect, try running that, it may simply be that you have files missing or have had a problem burning, if that is the case re-download and re-burn (perhaps at a lower burn speed).

I tried going to check cd but all it gave me was a black screen.
I torrented the iso if that helps, I should retry burning at a lower speed?
