conky selectively displays fonts & extra question...

Conky only seems to want to display one TTF. Now, I ignored it last month, because it actually worked with my desktop; now...it's got to change. However, it won't!

Whenever I try to switch from the current TTF font to another TTF, it shows me Sans. It doesn't matter which font I use, if it's not the current TTF font, it shows Sans.

Anyone know what could be up?

And for the other question. In Rhythmbox, I have multiple Asian (korean/japanese) songs in my library, in their native characters. In conky, when it displays these songs, it only shows the boxes denoting the characters don't exist in the font being used. Is there any way in conky to make it display these characters without explicit changing the font under Rhythmbox (so that it doesn't match my current layout)?
