Help with internet

I'm posting this in regards of a friend, who has this issue but cannot access the forums. The problem:

I can't seem to use high-end social sites (yeah, I use those 'cause I have a life, sorta). the problem is that on facebook and others I can't seem to get anything beyond viewing pages, anything else produces a blank page. I use 9.10 and the latest firefox and everything is up-to-date.

Any solutions?
EDIT: He added that making new profiles work for a while, but later stop.

"ok pedro3005, here's my answer for STLsaint (on the forums), tell him that I can load most pages on a profile, but when I need to upload any information from a form that the browser simply does not work"
I told him to use other browsers, he said:

We tried re-installing firefox but it did nothing.

check his privacy settings, if sessions/cookies are disabled then he won't be able to log in to certain sites...
