Restore Taskbar - How to restore?

I deleted/removed the Kubuntu Taskbar by Accident.

How do I get it back without re-formatting/toasting the OS?

I deleted/removed the Top Taskbar on Purpose, but inadvertent futzing with the expanded Menu of the bottom Taskbar caused it to disappear.

Also, I can't find any "Restore Default Settings" either.

    TIA

    is this kubuntu kde4 ?

i am sure there are better ways, but...when i mucked up my kde4 and lost the panel (taskbar), i got it back by just deleting the "hidden" .kde folder in my home directory. the problem with that is it will reset all of your kde settings to the default settings. if you do not have a problem with that...open up your home folder and in the toolbar click on "view". then in the drop-down menu click "show hidden files". then scroll down, find the .kde folder, right-click on it and choose "move to trash".

log-out and back in again and see if the panel is back.

    hope that helps.

There might be a subfolder of .kde for just the panels that you could try to delete first, thus preserving some of the other .kde settings.

Sorry, should have mentioned it was 9.04 beta.

No such Folder under /home, but there was one under /, so I toasted that one.

Let's see how that goes. At this Point, a scratch-job is probably faster than trying out a Zillion Possibilities.

    Going for broke … lol

    Will update on Results.

    Thx the Input.
