Just installed Ubuntu 8.10 and need to connect it to the wireless network. It has an ethernet cable connected to a Windows XP SP2 laptop which is connected to the network wirelessly.

So we have:

[ Ubuntu ] --ethernet--> [ Win XP Laptop ] - - - Wireless - - -> [ Router ]

Windows XP laptop has been set up with a static IP address and has Internet Connection Sharing turned on. Here are the specs for the windows computer:

Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.111
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.1
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.1
