    Please help me, How to connect with VPN

    I installed Kubuntu intrepid 64bit version

    It's seem that i can establish a connection to the VPN (pureVPN.com), but if i check my IP in internet it isn't changed.
    I used KVpnc.

    you want to have your public IP seen as the one from the VPN provider and not your ISP?

    What tests are u running to check that? iptools.com? whatismyipaddress.com ?

    Yes exactly, I tried to verify with whatismyipaddress.com and other similar site without cache and with noscript in my browser!

    can you help me?

    it seems strange that your NetworkManager did not use the VPN gateway or routes.

    Did u alter in any way the basic VPN connection?
    is it a standard profile?

    ah ok, is there any workaround to bypass the problem or i have to install 8.04. What you suggest?


    No this is an standard installation with standard profile.

    I saw also that Knetworkmanager doesn't have the possibily to create a new VPN (with right-click mouse over), for this reason I installed KVpnc. is it normal?
