Can't find SATA disks

So, i can't find the disks while trying to install ubuntu 8.04.1.
I have installed it on my usb drive, so i can look after it in ubuntu.

I get some "ATA(x).00 revalidation failed (errno=-5)" at startup.
I can boot with the live cd, but there i also get the "revalidation failed"
All the disks work fine in Win XP

I have tried:
adding acpi=off noapic to the boot list in grub.
Replugging the disks and checking the log, nothing.
Checked fdisk -l


My computer:
MSI P965 Neo-F(JMicron JMB361)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
SATA Samsung Spinpoint
