So i insalled hardy heron LTS, 64 bit architecture two weeks ago.
everything worked fine. happy sunshiney days, rainbows and unicorns.

when OH NO! spore cae out, i switched out the cd-rw i have, with a dvd-rom. lsot all of my sound, spore wont load, and im getting mightily irritated. now there are rainclouds hurricane winds and tornadoes all over.


yes im being whimsical to show my dis-appreciation of this functionality error.

will someone please help me figure out how to fix it? i do need to use the dvd rom drive for games and media, but i also need sound to do everything with.

i plugged my speakers into my soundcard, seeing as the front end wont work oddly. i get the drums and such when firs tlogging into my desktop, nothing else.

HALP!
