    Thats a really cool set up. Conky really makes it look as if you were driving a car or a really fast vehicle. Got a link to the wallpaper?

    I don't remember where I found it. I had a quick look on deviantart but couldn't it. Please find it attached instead...

    Edit: andrewabc pointed me in the right direction, the image can be found here: http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/details.php?id=1387

    Hi pbeesly,

    Nice setup, although I see a possible problem when 1 September 2008 hits.

    I don't think you'll have space for that line and keep your configuration.

    You might want to consider:
    Code:
    ${time %d %b. %Y}
    to get: 1 Sep. 2008, when the time comes.

    Have a nice day

    how do you acces to db?
    with internet browser?

    you can get the code write in a terminal:

    curl www (install curl if you dont have it)

    If you need registration read manpage of curl.

    You have so the code of webpage, you only need parse info do you like (with grep, sed and so). You can do it directly in conky. example:

    ${exec curl www... |grep "Requested"}

    or better, write a script

    Naturally isnt easily or direct, you need do it for your specific example

    nice to see a new release but until they update the list of variables etc I will be sticking with 1.5.
    One thing that did stick out to me on the changelog page was they seem to have done away with the $goto. Those of you that use this might want to think twice about upgrading until you work out some way to align your outputs without the use of $goto.
    Just a heads up

    Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

    Hi Folks,

    In most of the conky threads there are instructions for people trying to setup conky for the first time. Bu the time it's answered it's spaced out over a few pages and the simplicity of it seems to be lost.

    So with that in mind I've started a new thread:

    HOW TO: A Beginners Guide to Setting up Conky

    And like I said there, I'm really hoping it stays a "1 post" thread, it doesn't talk about configuring the internal workings of conky. Simply a way to get it up and running. Leave configuring tips and tricks and screenshots here where there is lots of help.

    Take a look.

    Have a nice day
    Bruce
