[SOLVED] Only view smb files as root

Not sure what happened, but I can only view files on my samba server if I click "open as root" once I navigate to smb://home .
Also I can no longer see anything under "storage media." I can view and browse files under my home folder but that's about it. I've changed runlevels but that didn't help.

I've figured out that I can view and browse files under gnome, but not in kde. Everything was working fine until a few days ago. My other computers have no problems.

I have fixed the issue by removing and re-installing dolphin.
