Red face [SOLVED] No prompt for User name and password Windows Network

I recently got a fresh install of ubuntu, and got almost everything up and running correctly. I cannot access my shared files on my windows machine through my network. I can see my pc in Nautilus, and can even double click on it, but it does not pop-up and ask me for a user name and password, it just comes up with a blank folder type screen. When I boot windows,I can access my shared folders. I used 'sudo apt-get install samba' and 'sudo apt-get install smbf'.

I don't think it's a windows problem, and I can't mess with the settings on the vista computer very drastically.

Note: I had this working on my previous install of ubuntu.

The same thing happens to me. For some reason, if I try to double-click it a second time, it connects, prompts me and works great.
