    External Monitor Bug

Hey guys, I have an external monitor bug.

I'm currently using a Dell Laptop with an external monitor.
    Gnome2.20.1
    Ubuntu 7.10 Gusty

External monitor is set as default.
They are both mirrors of each other because my video card isn't powerful enough to run both and compiz at the same time...so for the time being I chose compiz

    Here's the bug:

Anytime I use Fullscreen or Zoom...it recognizes the laptop monitor dimensions rather than the external. So it only goes 3/4 fullscreen, and zoom is messed as well.

But when I use Starcraft under Wine the fullscreen looks fine.
Same with compiz cube -> after I change "Multiple Output Mode" in Cube Settings to "On Big Cube" from "Automatic"

The odd part is, half the time it works fine, and half the time it doesn't...and I have no idea why.

    Any ideas?

I'll attach two screens as examples of zoom and maximize

    Thanks in advance

    Mike
