I was sooo hoping this was fixed, (and was about to crow about open source bug fixing) but it looks like it's only a little better.

When copying audio files from a dvd, it succeeded in copying a folder of 118mb, but then when I tried to copy the other 2.9gb of content from the dvd, the system froze up again.

This is a real pain, as I don't have enough hard drive space for my media consumption, and so I have a lot of material on dvds.

And having to hit the hardware power switch is disturbing.
