which dvd burner? (the old one changed the large file names)

well last time I made my hdds backup on ubuntu (7.10) the burner changed the names of almost all my files, specially the music which ruined my music library... now I have to backup again but I don't wanna ruin the file names cause it's frustrating, what DVD burner should I use?

you should look into burners options - maximal lenght of filenames depends from standard (joliet, iso9660 etc).

what's the difference between iso level 1, 2 and 3?

This configuration is compatible with both linux and windows systems?
