I am using Ubuntu 12.10 with GNOME 3.6. My system is Compaq Presario CQ3340IX which has an onboard graphics memory - Intel GMA x4500. But my ubuntu is not detecting it. In my System Settings->Details my graphics is shown as blank. Doesn't that mean my onboard graphics is not detected??? I have installed xserver-xorg-video-intel and my xorg.conf file is as follows

# nvidia-xconfig: X configuration file generated by nvidia-xconfig
# nvidia-xconfig: version 304.51 (buildmeister@swio-display-x86-rhel47-06.nvidia.com) Tue Sep 18 18:48:23 PDT 2012

I once had an NVidia Graphics card, but I removed it coz it became faulty. From then, my on board graphics is not detected.

What should I do???
