    Question Permission denied for attachments

This post (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=4972622) is the only post that seems to talk about the specific issue I'm having. However all the updates use attachments and no actual information in the post. Every time I try to view the attachments it says I don't have permission. What is happening and how do users view the attachments?

    Specific attachments to view:

    http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php...8&postcount=20

    http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php...2&postcount=32

    Thanks.

Not a Resolution issue. Thread moved to Forum Feedback & Help.

First thing: were you logged in when you tried to view the attachments? If you are not logged in, then you will get a permission denied message. I can view the attachments in the posts you've linked, but in case this is an obscure permissions problem, I'll test this with a test account and post back shortly.

I can view those attachments just fine with a test (<25 posts) account. Were you logged in or not?

One thing to add - that's an old closed thread that refers to a now-obsolete version of Ubuntu. If you start your own fresh thread you might get more up-to-date information.
