Resolution manipulation while gaming
I'm not sure if this is the place to ask or maybe I should head on to the programming section because I'm looking for a bash script.
I got Faster Than Light recently (fantastic game btw) and it runs fine with wine. Except that my monitor's default resolution is 1024x768. When I run FTL, its too big to fit into my screen and the game doesn't allow changing resolutions.
So I'm looking for a simple script to change my resolution to 1280x1024 while the game is running and switching back to its normal 1024x768 when not. I already switch the resolutions manually but its a pain to do it everytime i want to run the game.
I use xrandr to change the resolution and then proceed to run the game. Can anybody help me with a script to do this?
