Trackpad toggle -- what does it actually do?
Hi everybody! I'm a long time user of Ubuntu, and I was really happy that the 10.10 RC installed perfectly on my new HP Pavilion dm3!
There's just one little thing that seems broken. Right above my trackpad, there's a little button that looks like it toggles the trackpad on and off. Indeed, when I press it, a notification pops up in the top-right of the screen, with a picture of a trackpad and a small red "x" on top of it.
Awesome! This way I won't accidentally click the trackpad somewhere else while I'm typing. Except... I don't think the button actually does anything besides give the notification. I can move the mouse and tap on the trackpad to click, whether I've toggled the trackpad on or off.
Does anybody know of a way to get this button to work properly, or failing that, figure out what pressing the button is actually doing?
