Ubuntu Boot Iso Not Recognized?
Hello, I am a newbie here so go easy
I'm attempting to resurrect an old craptop Dell Inspirion 2200 with Ubunutu desktop. I have burned the Iso disk image file onto a CD-R and loaded it into the laptop. I activated the BIOS and set the primary boot sequence slot (number 1) to "diskette drive". When I restart the laptop after saving the BIOS settings and with the disk in, I run into a problem. The laptop starts to boot Windows XP (on the HDD!) Why did the laptop skip over the Iso on the disk in the disk drive?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Re: Ubuntu Boot Iso Not Recognized?
Hi notaninja and welcome to the forums. Have you selected the bios to boot from the CD/DVD drive? Disk drive and CD or different. Some computers have a hot key on boot where you can select how your computer boots. Then again if you burnt the ISO to a CD as data or other it will not boot. Please add a little more info so we can help you a long.
