    What are sessions?

Hi I'm not exactly new to ubuntu but I am fairly inexperienced on the topic of sessions. For example, I have have several different session options and use Ubuntu, Ubuntu 2d, and UbuntuStudio. Now, is there a difference between running the UbuntuStudio session and running UbuntuStudio a operating system? I'm just confused on the difference here. Thank for the help.

    Re: Sessions

Ubuntu Studio used to include a real time kernel but now ships with the generic kernel. If you have all the US applications installed it should be the same. If really like US you may want to install it as your only operating system to reduce some of application clutter from the other desktop environments.

This list is updated though 11.10 .
