    Gnome3 Classic Panel BG

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone can help me, i'm running gnome3 classic on 12.04 and for some reason when i alt+click and go to panel properties and set the panel bg, it only covers the top middle of the panel, it dosnt set it for the indicator app or the applications menu.
Please see the screenshot below, does anyone have a fix or workaround

    Re: Gnome3 Classic Panel BG

Unfortunately it's not 100% possible to use a custom background in gnome-panel in Gnome 3.

As a themer I've tried to add an alpha background-color to the gnome-panel.css file. It only results in some parts becoming transparent while the clock and indicator applet just gets a bright background. It also makes the panel a little bit unstable in some cases. So it's a bug that has to be reported to the gnome-panel devs.
