Banshee and Rhythmbox are way better but here you go

Ubuntu 20.04, Mint 19.10; MS Win10 Pro.

I don't recommend iTunes because the functionality is very poor compared to something compable in Ubuntu that runs natively.
Here is a walk-through that contains instructions to get a version of iTunes running on your system in Wine. It is about 1/2 the way down the checklist.

There are also alternatives listed you might want to try and gtkpod as well for ipod devices.
I find Rythm Box and gtkpod to work well for music on the iPod. Banshee is way to buggy for anything in my opinion.
Does anyone know of any way to transfer apps to my iPod while using Ubuntu?
gtkpod is good & nice give a try.

Fantastic--have not been able to reload our Ipods since changing to Ubuntu (couldn't get Wine and Itunes to work together. Having just read this thread I loaded gtkpod and bingo, new files have been added to the ipod
I installed gtkpod, but what is "BINGO" and how does it relate to the iPhone, iPod ? Package manager didn't find it.
Thanks
I think BINGO is a way to say that everything was working fantastic
