Remove write protection on pen drive.

    Hello Everybody,

My Iball 4 gb pen drive has become write protected, so i cannot format, add or delete files from it. I confirm that there is no switch to make the protection off.
Please let me know if there is any way through which i can remove write protection and use my usb device as i was using before.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Yogesh

    Hi welcome to Forums .

have you tried formatting it from the Gparted ?
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install gparted
and try to do formatting from that . If anything comes up , let us know .

    All the best ,
Dont miss anything even it is small. one small pin is enough to bring down a man.

Gparted does not allow to format, the format option is disabled
