    Fixing Remote Behavior (Button Presses)

I am running Mythbuntu (Karmic) on my HTPC, using a Hauppauge card and remote. The remote works, except for one small thing. I can't get the button presses to repeat. Changing the values in the lircrc file doesn't have any effect. This is kind of annoying when it comes to the volume controls, but other functions require a lot of key pressing to perform, like scrolling through the video lists.

I noticed that the action isn't actually performed when I press a button. It happens when I release it. I confirmed this with irw. No key press is recorded until after I let the button up. Because of this, I can understand why the repeat value in the lircrc file has no effect.

Does anyone know how I can fix this so I can repeat certain buttons?

Is there a better category for this question?

    Works fine now.

I'm not sure what changed, but something did in the past year.
