My xorg log file shows:
PHP Code:
[125563.848] (II) intel(0): Printing DDC gathered Modelines:
[125563.848] (II) intel(0): Modeline "1024x768"x0.0 65.00 1024 1048 1184 1344 768 771 777 806 -hsync -vsync$
I ran through the xrandr process that is documented in the wiki and it adds the mode, but doesn't assign it to LVDS1.
PHP Code:
dwessell@dwessell-Latitude-D520:/var/log$ xrandr
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1024 x 768, maximum 4096 x 4096

v: height 1024 start 1025 end 1028 total 1060 clock 60.0Hz
If I try and add the mode it fails:
PHP Code:
dwessell@dwessell-Latitude-D520:/var/log$ sudo xrandr --addmode LVDS1 "1280x1024+60.00"
[sudo] password for dwessell:
X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
Major opcode of failed request: 149 (RANDR)
Minor opcode of failed request: 18 (RRAddOutputMode)
Serial number of failed request: 29
Current serial number in output stream: 30
So as far as I can tell I need to either tell something to ignore the edid information reported, or make a manual xorg.conf entry. Is that correct? Is there good documentation that I'm not finding for this?
Thanks
David
