    External Monitor in netbook with GMA 500 - Poulsbo

    Hi all...

    I couldn't find a way to set/increase the external monitor resolution using Ubuntu (10.10) with the PSB drivers.

    I tried to use the xrandr commands like shown here:

    without success.

    Some more details would have been welcome. Have you added the mode successfully? Any errors?

    Terribly sorry for the late reply. Definitely, poulsbo was not supported at that time.
    I'll now try the latest GMA500_GFX driver.

    Done.
    If you install Buntu 17.10 remember to download a new ISO file.

    Old ISO files might contain a bug which can damage UEFI hardware. Updating an existing installation and upgrading to 17.10 (if one has faith in upgrades in general) are safe.
