I compiled and install berkley db. Done

When I took openladp latest version to compile and build - it wants links to the DBD.h files.

When I put the environment link in it still does not. BUT...

The maintainer has changes the code so it will not work.

The tutorials in the forum do not work - well so far I have spent a lot of time on this.

using Putty I connect ot a server - session reference in Windows is 0, so no problem. I can open xclock and no prob.

you should be able so state using mkfs command

cant imagine why you want to remove this from your PC.

I'm trying to get to remote PC that has problems - also Ubuntu

It is behind a proxy and only has a 10,x,x,x IP address.

The available port is 80 only.

Any ideas as to how I can get...

Ok a live CD will boot up on the CD only - however ur BIOS must be set to boot from the CD not the HD.

When booting from CD u will have and enviro to play in - no damage to ur existing system.
