    But what flavor you use does make a difference. Did you install Ubuntu or a lightweight flavor.

    You probably are booting with 4.15 kernels, but still have old 4.4 kernels that should have been housecleaned before update.

    Ubuntu may try to boot but will try to mount all those paritions with errors. It may not work or...
