Looks like you're missing zlib headers (at least). Check to see if you have the zlib1g-dev (or zlib1-dev) package installed, as well as zlib1g (or zlib1). You might be missing other -dev packages too...

I've recently been trying to play with AVCHD video on Linux out of my Sony HDR-SR7 camera.
