As can be seen, mountall waits for...
Try this tutorial guys :D
Try openjdk. sun java is not maintained anymore. :D
I followed the thread and it's working on my laptop system. Since I has only 2GB RAM I installed a CLI Ubuntu and installed only the packages I need. The squashfs image file is only 480MB. However...

Got it, thank you so much :D
I'm using the CLI only. So when I boot up, the plymouth plugin "ubuntu-text" is loaded. I want to modify the plugin.
Where can I get the source for that plugin? I looked in the repo and its...
Confirmed error. Work around by selecting by mouse and getting in the directories with Enter (do NOT double click!)
A bit weird but it works for me :D
Your chipset is probably blacklisted. Try unblacklisting it first.
Well, at first I thought tar is better than tar.gz. Since I had a quite good CPU (a Core2 Duo 2.53GHz), I've just decided to use tar.gz to compress the backup /usr/lib and /usr/share to share the...
Some personal comments about this idea
Advantages :
- reduces application start time
- packed data in tarballs is (nearly) continous, therefore unpacking the data doesn't force the HDD's head to...
Ok I figured it out. Since I don't have RAM as much as 4gb (I have 2GB only), I managed to put the /usr/share into RAM since boot. This directory in my system is only 400MB, but I believe it's one of...
why don't you install & use envyng? it's really great for nvidia cards. I haven't had any trouble using it with 3 different cards (in various systems)
sudo apt-get install envyng
Mooble: you should reinstall nvidia video driver, as kernel upgrade requires driver reinstallation. I got this problem since Hardy.
BTW, try using envyng. It works great with nvidia cards.
perhaps desktop cube + rotate cube like this clip?
try disabling IPv6 for firefox, as described here.
Thanks for the suggestions. I will try Cygwin.
But i'm still wondering if there is any way to install only ubuntu-minimal within wubi or not :D
My goal is to have a minimal but working command line ubuntu with wubi.
I'm studying shell programming and my hard drive doesn't have much space left. I also got some problems with resizing...
From the wubi FAQ
I think wubi accepts desktop cd only ~.~
Anyway, will try. Thanks for your suggestion.
/edit : I tried putting the server iso in the same place with wubi, but it doesn't...
Is there anybody trying to install command line ubuntu with wubi? I mean, without GNOME, or ubuntu-desktop, etc...
I just want to have a minimal ubuntu with wubi, but no luck. I tried to install...
try this out guys:
- turn on desktop effects
- open Compiz Config Settings Manager -> Display Settings
- tick "Sync to VBlank" at the end of the form

You guys should try switching to ndiswrapper and follow this post. it's a bit annoying but it still works for me. I also have BCM4312.

Ok I got it solved. My problem is the same as the one described here.
The drawback is that I have to manually use wpa_supplicant and run renice every boot. Kinda annoying but no fix to this time....
I have this problem too with my BCM4312.... ndiswrapper continuously gave out this message...
Any help please?
