This works great.. been using it for about a week with no problems.. but you could make it even easier by including ndis with the script ;)
Yes, extensions are disabled.. but you can still grab your adblock plus filters
Install adblock plus on the new profile, then copy the adblock plus filters (unsure of the location of adblock)

I tried this howto, and it works on networks without wep/wpa, and when I turn on WEP on my AP, and I reboot my computer, the light blinks on and off, and back on, and off, etc. Also networkManager...
It stopped working.. I tried blacklisting ndiswrapper, modprobing and it "broke".

I would also suggest that if you use Adblock (plus), TMP, Noscript, etc you would export those filters/settings/whitelists as well so you don't lose them.
Well, just rezip it up and change .zip to .xpi and open Extension manager and Nautilus and just drag that file onto extension manager.
