    Try ctrl + h to hide the hidden folder, any file or folder that has a . in front of the name is a hidden one

    That Intel card should work better than the realtek, some of the Intel 7260 series were supported in the kernel 4-6 years ago

    Is this a newer HP laptop? You may have to go into UEFI/BIOS settings, System Config, OS Boot Loader, put ubuntu on top of the list and press F10 twice

    I don' remember the exact steps to fix but this is caused by Windows wanting the BIOS clock to be local time and Ubuntu sets it to UTC
