Is there anyway for me to change what kernel the drivers use?

When I install nvidia drivers I get

"could not load /lib/modules/3.2.0-29-generic/modules.dep"

I have kernel 3.5 from Quantal and this seems to be the problem but I can't fix it. Any Ideas?

The Ubuntuxxxxxx_amd64+mac.iso is broken. So when burning a Live USB it will not find bootable medium. I would recommend redownloading the iso for the other user that responded in this forum post.

I fixed my issue anyone using the amd64+mac it will not find boot medium.

I am also having this problem but I am using a USB live. And I am on a retina MacBook Pro.
It says

Intranfms no bootable media found

The Iso I am using is 12.10

anybody can help me I am now getting the error

On 12.10 I cannot get it to boot it says something to the effect of

Intranmfs: no bootable medium found

this is using a USB stick while using dd on Macbook pro retina.

Would it be ok if i switch it over to linux mint and call it iMint?

I used Ndiswrapper using terminal because the GUI kept hanging.

Once I got that to work. I still can't...
