How would I make pcmanfm draw the desktop instead of Nautilus?

Every time, for some reason, when I add openbox --replace on start up it does not work. Metacity starts up instead. Does anyone know of a workaround? Your help is appreciated!

I get a black screen with a bunch of words on it. Did you run it under windows vista compatibility? I did that, but I get the same error.

I have just installed Lucid, and am trying to sync my files from my ubuntuone account, but it's not working. When I open ubuntuone it says that synchronization in process, but the flies do not appear...

Every time I upload files into the web onto my ubuntuone account the ubuntuone folder can't connect and synchronize my data. In the folder when I click connect, it does not work.

It worked!! This time I went to the opt dictionary, and deleted all the openoffice folders. Thanks to all those who helped.

When I am using the global menu plugin the name of the procces gets distorted. I am attaching a screen shot.

Well I removed it and I still get that popping noise. I have noticed that when I put my laptop to sleep a red light appears on he mute button. How would I apply this during shutdown.

Does removing these things make my sound not work?

Well it worked!!!!

But I did it a different way. I downloaded

dpkg-dev (and some dependencies for it)

http://packages.ubuntu.com/karmic/dpkg-dev

http://packages.ubuntu.com/karmic/patch

When I do that I get an error message.





Any suggestions? Is there a manual way of adding the files?
