[all variants] Re: What comes after ubuntu?

In Australia you basically have 3 options if you want to go further with Linux.

    1. RedHat.
    2. Novell.
    3. Debian.

Novell is used by the NSW DET (Department of Education) with Windows. Most...

    [SOLVED] Re: ndisgtk won't install

You do not need ndisgtk to have a working wireless. If you have successfully installed ndiswrapper-common and ndiswrapper-utils all you need to do is go though this process.

  3. Poll: Re: What's the point of locking off the archives "from public view"?

This may be the time they prove me wrong but so be it I'm going to say this anyway. Ubuntu has over the years shown it doesn't matter what the general membership believe, they will do what they want...
  4. Poll: Re: What's the point of locking off the archives "from public view"?

Read the thread, the intent is to initially remove them from public view on the 29th of this month, and then to remove them totally because the admin group think .... actually I'm not sure the admin...
  5. Poll: Re: What's the point of locking off the archives "from public view"?

Exactly, I said it before this forum needs to decide if it is here...
  6. Poll: Re: What's the point of locking off the archives "from public view"?

To those who don't want them to disappear I would simply suggest you get a copy of what you want as soon as you can. My guess is the archives will be gone by the end of June.
  7. Poll: Re: What's the point of locking off the archives "from public view"?

I just did a search and even though this result is NOT in archives it indicates that either you are not looking very hard or Pytheas22 isn't keeping his thread up to date.

    Then wouldn't Ubuntu...
  8. Poll: Re: What's the point of locking off the archives "from public view"?

    No it isn't, see below.

Maybe your not looking hard enough or maybe you just don't care about ndiswrapper that much.

Some people ask questions again and again anyway and the standard response...
  9. Poll: Re: What's the point of locking off the archives "from public view"?

At the top of the Archive pages it says something like they are archives, if people cannot read that then they wont be able to handle Ubuntu anyway.

And removing information that still has value...
  10. Poll: Re: What's the point of locking off the archives "from public view"?

I don't post often now but I must say if you are going to lock or remove the archives then why would you give people free reign to post gibberish in the cafe. This forum needs to figure out if it a...

The xml way (check my signature for how to do it with ease) is fullproof (or should I say foolproof). All you need to know is where your pictures are, what they are called, and how to use Gedit. If...
