    This is the 3rd boot up after this month (I've tried first to boot up the "Recovery" option on the Grub screen, as well as "other versions" and no luck).

    I tried the live boot CD environment and connected the laptop to the network just fine. My mobile phone (I no longer have an iPhone but instead the Defy XT) did not have an issue...
