There must be enough people at Canonical who are into cycling, surely.

    Re: Ubuntu Bike Jerseys?

I'd like to see a few more distros made as cycle jerseys. Thing is, most places require a minimum of 10 orders :( I've designed a jersey for Archlinux too.

Re: How to show all dates for day of the week?

Thanks, those are all good options. I have been trying another avenue, which is to send the data to an openoffice writer table.

To do this, I'm using uno. I've managed to have it create the right...

Re: How to show all dates for day of the week?

This is what I have so far. Input from the user, and output as a .csv file I can format with Calc.

    #!/usr/bin/env python

#This script takes a range of dates and two weekdays from the user....

Re: How to show all dates for day of the week?

Wow, thanks guys. :) What a fantastic response. This will all be really helpful, as I really had no idea how to do this. Let me see what I can do with the languages I'm more familiar with (Python)....

Re: How to show all dates for day of the week?

Yeah, I had the same vague idea of iterating over days, but I'm not sure how to integrate any of the date functions in (for example) Python to do it. I also need to combine the days as each class has...

How to show all dates for day of the week?

I'd like to know what the best way to get all the dates for a specific day of the week.

I'm trying to make a list of days I teach certain classes at school. Fore example I teach 1A on Wednesdays...
  9. [ubuntu] Re: blueman and/or obex problems ... device is visible, but I can't receive files

It seems I already have that package installed. :( I managed to ping both computers but couldn't transfer files, even from the command line.

I guess you guys didn't find a solution? If you did, can you let me know too :)
  11. [kubuntu] Re: Configuring Huawei Wireless USB Broadband Modem

Command line is the way I connect as I just gave up trying to do it through GnomePPP. Would be nice to get it working though.
  12. [ubuntu] Re: frustrated with acer aspire one +8.10 wireless

Yes, I think the easiest thing would be to jump into Jaunty and the nice new kernel.
  13. [kubuntu] Re: Configuring Huawei Wireless USB Broadband Modem

Checking the work offline box is a good idea. Also make sure your user is in the dialout group.
  14. [ubuntu] Re: frustrated with acer aspire one +8.10 wireless

I have an Aspire One and have had no problems with wireless and in fact it was refreshingly effortless to set up so don't lose hope :)

However, I'm not using Ubuntu on my Aspire, I'm using Arch....

    Re: Usb modem problem

I'd suggest using a prog called wvdial. It's in the repository so you can open a terminal and type:

    sudo apt-get install wvdial

. There are a few threads dealing with USB modems of different...

It really, really, isn't a language. It will never become a language either. The day I watch some American show and can't understand anything will be the day you can call it a language separate from...
