After removing Ubuntu 12.04.1's gstreamer bad 0.10.22 packages, and installing gstreamer bad 0.10.23 from its sources, all my mp4 files that were not playing in Totem and...

I have been using the latest VMWare Workstation with Ubuntu since VMware 6.5.x at least, with no problems as far as I remember....

I have an Acer 8920G with 2 HDDs and BIOS version 1.15, and it works out of the box with Ubuntu Linux 9.10. So these days, Acer 8920G is OK for Ubuntu Linux.
