Thanks for this post. In hindsight, it seems obvious that "Separate X screen" was the culprit, but I didn't know what TwinView meant and it didn't even occur to me to try it since it sounds like it...

This was it, thanks. The python exception says to install pytion-tk but the trick is to install python3-tk.
Seems like the error could be a little more helpful.
